He began his career at UBA Plc and Standard Trust Bank, earning a Letter of Commendation from the UBA Chairman for turning around the MoneyGram market in Benin within three months. He won the Best Manager of the Year Award (1996) at Befort Group of Companies, Lagos.
A Fellow and Chartered Manager of the Chartered Management Institute UK, and Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria. Dr. Ufot brings over 30 years of experience across Energy, Engineering, and Operations Management.
His expertise spans Projects and Operations Management, Hydrocarbon Information Management, Business Planning, and Strategy across the Energy, Textile, and Breweries sectors.
A Fellow of ICAN and Fellow of CITN. Godwin brings three decades of oil and gas experience spanning upstream crude operations, strategy, and clean energy — including as Manager Strategy and Value Assurance at the Shell Group.
He subsequently served as CEO of Alternative Petroleum and Power Limited (APPL), and as Board Advisor to PANA Holdings Group. A Forensic Examiner and member of ACFE South Africa Chapter.
A seasoned energy professional with 33 years of experience across finance, planning, and regulatory compliance in Nigeria's oil and gas industry. He formerly held senior leadership roles at NNPCL, NETCO, NGML, NGICL, PPMC, and NEPL.
At NETCO, he drove a 250% increase in revenue and 150% growth in EBITDA, achieving 100% regulatory compliance with zero penalties. His expertise spans PSC and JV fiscal regimes, and PIA 2021 compliance.
